Almost Wordless Wednesday

While the boys were at baseball practice, it was swim time instead of bath time...
cause we can't all get the mother of the year award...   :p

Gotcha!!

Today we celebrate Zoey Seon-mi's third Gotcha Day!!

We did the usual and went to her (well, mostly my) favorite restaurant where we, including her nana and papa, chowed down on some serious Korean food!  Her favorite is their yakimandu...she can eat an entire order on her own!

As you can see, we did some serious damage there...

And all three of them actually posed for me outside the restaurant doors!

And sorta in the car. :)

We are blessed to have this precious girl in our lives...

We will never forget the sacrifice of her foster families and their love for her...

and especially her birth mother...

who gave us the opportunity to make her a part of our family...

she's smart...

silly...

playful...

loving...

precious...

and beautiful!

Happy Gotcha Day Seon-mi!  We love, love, love you!!

And it was going so well!!

Keeping these girls busy proved successful today!

There was no time for fighting!

(well, there was still some, but not nearly as much as yesterday!)

A much better day today!

Library visit, lots of snacks, playtime and Pororo on the iPad!

They were even holding hands in this pic, but they moved too quickly for me to get that shot. :)

And they even had time to torture their favorite mini dach.

This poor dog.

Seriously.

He finally made an escape!

And promptly ran over to my lap for a safe haven, where I promised he didn't have to ride in anymore shopping carts!

Dinner time around here just turns crazy.

Em is still not really eating much 'American' food, so I'm still making her a separate meal for the most part.  My son is a super picky eater, it's amazing he's still alive, and while Zoey is a pretty good eater normally, since the other kids are having different meals, she wants one too...and it's just that time of day when they're kinda tired, get whiny and let it all out for daddy when he gets home!

Em is doing so much better with Danny, but it's kinda weird still...she's not thrilled with greeting him or telling him goodbye when he comes or goes, but will slowly open if he initiates interaction.  When my dad walks in though, she shrills with excitement and always want to touch his face (I'm thinking maybe the bushy eyebrows are her interest)!  She climbs all over him and usually Zoey and she will wear him out for the few minutes he comes over to play with them.  She is allowing Danny to bathe her without me being in the same room, but will come looking for me as soon as they're done...hasn't yet allowed him to put her down for nap or bedtime though...we'll get there!

We headed out to Braedan's baseball game (yes, we're at the ball field A LOT!) and Em loves kids her age!  She'll always walk up and give hugs and kisses, whether they're wanted or not (she did this to a few kids at the library today too)!  And then she insisted on taking off her shoes...and I totally let her.  That is not something I would ordinarily EVER do! Let my kid take their shoes off in a public place?!?!? Uh, no!  But she was happy, no harm done and we scrubbed her feet extra hard at bath time tonight...maybe the third time around, you just start to let a few more things slide!  Keep the peace!  A Korean friend of mine was at the game and we joked that if there were any ajummas around, I woulda been in big time trouble for that one!  She mentioned her Korean mom was super annoyed with her girls wearing Crocs the other day and insisted they put on shoes that covered and protected their feet!

Right before the game ended (Braedan got a great hit tonight by the way!) Zoey ran up with blood everywhere!  Her dress, her tights, her hand and her face!  Finally, we figured out she had cut her finger and it was huge scene!  I got her home, bathed her and calmed her down and was finally able to take a closer look...I've seen a lot of cuts and scrapes, but honestly, this one probably needs a stitch or two.  We think she might have caught it on the bleachers somehow.  But Zoey still has a great fear (like freak out panic attack screaming fear) of doctors and needles and was already so stressed, overtired and in pain that I've decided to just keep it super clean and let it heal on it's own but careful to watch for infection just in case.  The location of it is awkward too and I think it should heal up on it's own pretty quickly.

Got her in bed as she only wanted me, and then was sitting in the dark with a partially asleep Em, and bang!  Braedan slips, falls in the shower and hits his head.  I couldn't jump up with Em in my arms, so Danny went to his rescue and thankfully, he is okay.

And it was going so well!  Geesh!  Thankfully, everyone is still alive and now sleeping peacefully.

On the agenda tomorrow...non slip grips for the kid's bath, neosporin and more Angry Birds bandaids (per Zoey's request) and more bottles! (we were told Em was no longer taking them so only bought two just in case and this girl is chugging ooyoo like it's nobodies business three times a day and only out of a bottle!)

Aw, mama of three, no easy task!  But so worth it.  Wouldn't change it for the world.

Deep breaths!

Today was a rough day...

but there were still some good moments, so I choose to focus on those!

For whatever reason, adding one more kid to the bedtime routine makes it that much longer and my big kids need more sleep!

So while Miss Zoey took a cat nap on the couch...

Em and I headed out front with B for some sidewalk chalk time.

It got a little messy!

But oh so fun!

And who doesn't love them some chubby toddler feets!!

Didn't quite understand it's the chalk that writes, not the rocks. :)

Can you spot the little footprint on the left there???

Couldn't decide whether I liked this better in black and white or color. :)

My pretty girl!

My chalk boy!!  Hmmm, wonder what he was doing to get that chalk all over his nostril?!?!

Unfortunately, Miss Em didn't catch her nap today and so she decided to cat nap during dinner...and woke up pretty darn angry!!  But did go to bed early...

My Zoey did eventually wake up and while brother worked on homework and little sister was in the bath with daddy, we spent some alone time together just the two of us. :)

Is it really fair to be this beautiful and only 3 1/2 years old?!?!
(again, not sure if I like it better in color or black and white! So here's both!)

Car climbing anyone??

Eventually the other kiddos made their way outside too and found some butterfly wings.

Then decided to chase some live ones!

Baths, showers and bedtime for all three...

And now, it's time for this tired mama to take a rest herself. :)

Phew!
