Howdy, howdy, howdy!

My sister 'surprised' me with an early birthday present...

a super cute, super tiny, and oh so sweet mini dachshund!

My mom happened to be visiting her this week and volunteered to bring the puppy home on Thursday!

The kids are crazy about him, Zoey and he are practically inseparable and let me tell ya, it's like free babysitting!!

Don't you just want to eat him up?!?!

Thank you Aunt Lara for our new pup!

It makes turning 30 this week slightly less painful. :)

And definitely cuter. 

9 years, 8 months, new photos and a video!!

Nine years ago today, I married my high school boyfriend!

If you told me then that nine years later, we would have a first grader, a preschooler and a toddler on the way, I would have told you were absolutely insane!!

And eight months ago, if you told me that we'd still be waiting for our youngest to come home, I would have thought you were crazy too!!

But here we are, and honestly, there's no better place to be. 

I opened the mail yesterday with a package from Holt and a simple note, "We received this CD from your child's foster family, enjoy!"  And indeed we have!  There were 18 photos of our active toddler and boy was it nice to see her smiling face!

But the icing on the cake was this 4 1/2 minute video of pure bliss!!  Hearing her voice, seeing her walk and interact with her foster family, and experiencing what a happy, cute, fun loving baby she is, was just priceless!

My favorite parts include how she smiles at every stranger that passes by and how about 1:20 in, she can't quite figure out to get over the little dip in the walkway and eases her tiny feet down!! So stinkin' cute that girl!!

Let's just say, after nine years, we are incredibly blessed. :)
