Day of bonding and trying to kick that jet lag!

Big kids went back to school today, and after a very rough night where Emersyn decided to stay up till 5am after being frightened when Danny tried to lay with us on the pallet on the floor, we knew the two of them needed to spend some quality time with each other, with me taking more of a back seat.  So after she slept till noon, we headed to the park, where they got some good bonding time in. :)

Get ready, I definitely had my camera out today!

Spotted a lizard. :)

We picked up big sister after the park, and then headed to Braedan's school to wait for him at the gate.

This is how most of their interactions end...someone in tears!

Here he comes!

Something I've waited a long time to see!  (notice Braedan and Em holding hands!)

Came home and tried to reproduce one of the things Em loved eating in Korea...onigiri.
Basically triangle kimbap!  Success!

Em loves them with roasted spam inside.  Yes, I bought and cooked spam for the first time today!  Gross.  But anything for this kiddo.  She devoured it!

And while Zoey wasn't interested in the spam, she seemed to be interested in providing the entertainment for dinner!  This is the first interaction that didn't end in tears!

Look how full her cheeks are!!

Such a sweet moment with my girls!

And sharing a Pororo toy...sharing has not been in our vocabulary quite yet!

I could have stayed and watched them like this all night, but we needed to head out to big brother's baseball scrimmage and I thought this was the perfect way to keep Em up to attempt to get her to go to bed at her 'normal' time she did in Korea...it worked by the way and she is peacefully sleeping as I type!  Trying to kick this jet lag!

Seriously in love with this kid.

Always interested in what oppa was doing!

Just a little break for a big squeezy hug!

This is what she does when gets tired.  Just sort of stands there with that look on her face till I come pick her up!

I love baby bellies. :)

All in all, a much better day today but I tell ya, the not being on any sort of schedule has been rough on me!  And the all night hang out with Em and I since she didn't want to be anywhere near Danny last night was a doozy!  But, feeling very blessed, very loved, and knowing that with time we will find our new normal!

Sounds like everyone's making progress. I love B holding her hand. I think getting over jet lag is going to make a huge difference.

I've been reading your blog for awhile and it's so wonderful to see your whole family finally together! I will hopefully be dealing with jet lag in a couple of months after bringing our son home. :) Thanks for sharing about your journey/experiences!
